Water Resources
Water is a unique natural resource as the basic ingredient of nutritional products, an industrial production component, and an alternative energy resource. CORE has facilitated the identification and development of waste water treatment projects and the transference of the U.S. waste water treatment technologies to Mexico and Korea. In India, we conducted an assessment of water-energy nexus issues and identified the opportunities for energy system efficiency improvement. In Zambia, CORE is assisting in the preparation of a rural electrification plan based on the implementation of small hydro power plants.
CORE has also organized conferences and orientation visits directed at best practices for water utilization and savings, often targeted toward technology transfer.
