Industry and Agriculture
In the area of general industry development, CORE's services focus on improved sector efficiencies and outputs, priority program development and economic planning, business plan support, and financing for industrial expansion activities. In the general industry areas CORE has performed numerous assignments in the areas of: chemical, metallurgical, telecommunications, Small and Medium size enterprise development (including small scale manufacturing) and other industrial development areas. A specialized area of CORE's services focuses on the development of government strategies for regional industrial development, marrying development goals with societal development requirements.
In the area of agriculture sector development CORE's work has focused on improving productivity output and providing for value added services in the sector. For example, CORE International has assisted in the development of over a dozen programs worldwide for the use of biomass for energy generation and sale as a value added product from agricultural processing. Such alternative energy programs have positive economic and environmental impacts on farmers, food processors, and the civil society generally.
