Public Participation & Outreach
CORE International, Inc. (CORE) has broad and multi year experience organizing and implementing Public Outreach and Public Participation programs in various sectors of economy with the primary focus on the energy sector. We design outreach and education programs to accelerate public understanding of transformations in the energy sector and to mobilize national and community participation in programs that:
- set a public agenda for private sector participation in clean energy development, management and operations, and develop broad-based consensus for action
- increase the legitimacy of policies and programs for private sector participation in clean energy development, management and operations
- broaden public participation in decisions and actions regarding clean energy solutions led by private sector
CORE's approach to public outreach is based on the understanding of the various levels of influence to the public on decisions by:
- Informing - providing the public timely, comprehensive information
- Consulting - obtaining and considering public input
- Involving - getting the public directly involved in decision-making
- Collaborating - sharing decision-making power
- Empowering - giving decision-making power to the public.
CORE uses various mass multi-media channels and tools, as well as seminars and conferences to establish dialogues with the public and establish communications and community outreach and public participation programs on a variety sector issues.
